Welcome! This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Caspy mobile app (“App”), operated by Go Offscript (“we”, “us”, or “our”).
By using Caspy, you agree to the practices described below.
1. Information We Collect
Caspy is designed to collect as little personal data as possible.
We collect only what’s needed to make the App work smoothly and improve your experience.
a. Information You Provide
- Account Information: If you sign in via OTP, Apple, or Google, we collect your email address or Apple/Google ID token to authenticate your account.
- Pet Data: Your pet information is stored securely on our servers to sync across your devices.
- Feedback or Contact: If you contact us (e.g., via email), we may store that correspondence.
b. Data Stored Locally on Your Device
For your privacy, self-care activity data (mood logs, gratitude entries, breathing sessions, streak etc.) is stored locally on your device. This data is not accessible by us or any third parties. If you uninstall the app or clear app data, this information will be permanently deleted.
c. Automatically Collected Data
- Device Information: Basic technical details (e.g., device type, OS version) may be collected for performance and crash analytics.
- Usage Data: We use Posthog to understand how users interact with features and improve the App experience.
d. No Sensitive Health Data
Caspy is a self-care tool, not a medical or therapeutic service.
We do not collect or store any health records, diagnoses, or biometric data.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your data to:
- Operate and improve the App experience
- Sync your account and pet data between devices
- Respond to support requests and feedback
- Analyze usage patterns to improve features
- Ensure App performance and prevent abuse
We never sell or rent your data to third parties, and we do not share your data with advertisers.
3. Data Storage and Security
a. Cloud Storage (Account & Pet Data)
- Your account information and pet data are stored securely using Supabase.
- Cloud data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest (AES-256).
- Access to your data is restricted to you and authorized members of our team who need it to operate and improve the App.
b. Local Storage (Self-Care Entries)
Self-care activity data (see Section 1b) is stored locally on your device using encrypted storage and protected by your device's built-in security features.
4. Third-Party Services
Caspy may use third-party tools to improve the App:
- Supabase: Authentication and database hosting
- RevenueCat: Subscription and purchase management
- Posthog: Usage analytics
- Sentry: Crash reporting and error tracking
- App Store / Google Play: Payment processing
These services have their own privacy policies which govern how they handle your data.
5. Managing Your Data
You have control over your data:
- You can delete your account at any time from the App or by emailing hello@caspyapp.com
- Upon account deletion, your account and pet data will be permanently erased from our servers immediately
- Self-care entries stored on your device can be deleted by uninstalling the app or clearing app data
- You can export your self-care entries as plain text (unencrypted) from App settings
- You can request a copy of your cloud-stored data by emailing us
6. Children’s Privacy
Caspy is intended for users aged 13 and above.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
If we learn that we have done so, we will promptly delete that data.
7. International Users
Your data may be stored or processed in countries where our servers or service providers operate.
By using Caspy, you consent to this transfer in compliance with applicable data protection laws.
8. Updates to This Policy
We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy to reflect improvements or legal changes.
We’ll notify you via the App or store listing if major changes occur.
